The Unsung Heroes of the Service Division

By Kevin Bartley, Division Manager with Nexus 5 Group

I know that many people follow us on social media and understand that we operate three divisions at Nexus 5 Group. In case you didn’t know, those divisions include Construction, Mechanical and Service.

We do lots of project spotlights on the construction side, because they showcase some of the amazing projects we complete throughout the year. These projects end up being beautiful spaces that we work with our clients to produce. (Of course we are excited to show them off to our followers!)

We’ve realized that many of our followers don’t see the unsung heroes of the Service Division that have become an important part of Nexus 5 Group. Service projects generally aren’t that much to look at, but they are an important part of our overall success. I’m talking about the guys and gals that are out in the field self-performing thousands of service calls throughout the year.

From Four to Many More

When I first arrived at Nexus 5 Group, the service side of the business was made up of just four technicians and a dispatcher. This crew did a few HVAC installs and performed maintenance items in the multi-Family sector.

Now, over four years later, this team has grown and become known as one of the best in the business for multi-Family services. With over 200 combined years of experience in the field, the Service Division brings the knowledge, experience and culture that will continue to keep this division growing and becoming even more relevant in our industry.

The Service Division

The Service Division handles service calls for HVAC, plumbing, electrical and general maintenance items within the commercial and multi-Family industry. This division also handles some of the capital improvement projects for the Construction Division which includes lighting upgrades, appliance installations and many scope gap items that we choose to self-perform. The division works out of a 10,000 square foot warehouse where equipment inventory, parts, supplies and the sheet metal shop is housed.

Working with Nexus 5 Group

We hope that everyone knows or has experienced that we’re a relationship-based company with an emphasis on serving our clients and team members well. We understand that our business model is not for everyone. In our experience, working closely to build trust and relationships with our clients has always worked well.

Our knowledge, culture and professionalism are what we bring to the table. And keeping the lines of communication open with our clients has been an important key to our success across all our divisions. If that sounds good to you, please give us a call. We would love to have the opportunity to earn your business!
