Tom Hoelting is our newest Project Manager. Tom comes from a residential construction background with more than 17 years of experience. He is a results driven project manager who is motivated to execute and deliver high quality projects, all while maintaining relationships with owners and trade partners.
Tom's professional demeanor and commitment to his clients set him apart from the rest.
He has a bachelor’s degree in Construction Management from Pittsburg State University. It is at Pittsburg State where he met his wife, Lindsey. Now married for over 15 years, they have two girls, Alice (13) and Emma (10). Tom will do great things here at the Nexus 5 Group, and we plan to keep him around for many years of success!
Tom was born and raised in Shawnee, KS.
Tom's father was a framer and a builder of new homes in Johnson County. His mom took care of the household and was his dad’s secretary/designer. He went to Pittsburg State University where he joined the Sigma Chi Fraternity, met his future wife Lindsey, and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Technology. After college, he followed in his father’s footsteps and hired on as a superintendent in Louisburg, KS.
His next job allowed he and his wife to move back to Shawnee, near their family and friends. They built a home and have lived there for 15 years, bringing home Alice in 2009 and Emma in 2012. His girls are his life outside of work. He can’t imagine a life without them. As the girls grew, he and his wife found themselves needing to grow in their faith as well. They rejoined Lenexa Baptist Church where he was baptized and have now seen both of their girls baptized.

From that point, he moved around between several builders, never finding the right place or conditions to keep him engaged and interested. Not too long ago, he found himself tired of the home builder grind. He was titled as a Project Manager but also played the role of superintendent, laborer, and office staff. It was at this point he realized he was in home building for the wrong reasons and needed to follow his own path in construction.
That journey led him to Nexus 5 Group.
Now after a quick 4 months with Nexus 5 Group, he feels like he has found where he was meant to be.
