We salute our Nexus 5 Group Veterans

By John Hinman, Managing Director with Nexus 5 Group

Every year, on the 4th of July, I think about the sacrifices our armed forces make for us to preserve the freedoms that we so often take for granted. This year, I want to take it a step further and publicly thank every person that serves, or has served, in any of our armed forces. Thank you for your service!

In addition, I would like to personally thank three of our Nexus 5 Group team members that served.

Charlie Green (Superintendent) served in the United States Airforce from 1981-1985, Rank E4, Buck Sargent.

Charlie was an air-conditioning and refrigeration specialist and then moved to Supply. Charlie was in the Air National Guard stationed at Rosecrans Airforce Base, St. Joseph, Mo. He joined the service to learn a trade and had several family and friends who had done the same thing.

Thank you, Charlie for your service!!!

James Marshall (Logistics Manager) served in the United States Army from 1976-1979, Rank SP4/E5.

James was part of the Alpha Company, 4th infantry battalion serving as supply and transport (Pack horseman) and was stationed in Ft. Carson, CO. Jim was a Specialist in the supply company, working as an E5, or a buck sergeant.

Thank you, Jim for your service!!!

Clifton Printy (Mechanical Division Superintendent) served in the United States Navy from 1987-1990.

Clifton was a Signalman until 1990 when the USS Iowa BB 61 was which was his last command. Clifton says, “I have been to more countries than a lot of people can name and still believe the United States of America is the greatest country in the world. That's all I've got to say about that.”

Thank you, Clifton for your service!!!

As you are reading this, I hope you stop and think about the sacrifices that many of our realatives, team members, family and friends have made to provide the freedoms that we enjoy.

Happy Forth of July!
