At Nexus 5 Group, we know that a happy team is a productive team. To put this belief into action, we recently hosted a fun-filled day at the Kansas City Royals game. This outing was a wonderful chance for our employees to relax, bond, and enjoy time together outside the office.

The day was filled with laughter, excitement, and friendly competition. Let’s explore the details of this exciting day!

Pre-Game Fun: Cornhole and Tailgate Games

Before we entered the stadium, we kicked off the day with classic tailgate games in the parking lot. Cornhole took center stage, although none of us look like the next pro on ESPN 8 "The Ocho". Also the ol' trusty "Cup Pong" table is always a hit.

The games offered more than just competition; they were a perfect way for everyone to connect. Many employees introduced their partners, fostering a welcoming environment. Witnessing colleagues share stories and enjoy the bright sunny day together was great to see.

A Feast Fit for Royals Fans

As we headed into the stadium, we made our way to the outfield patio, where an impressive buffet awaited. The spread featured pulled pork sandwiches, hotdogs (which are enjoyed by more than 70% of stadium-goers), nachos, baked beans and cookies.

As drinks flowed and conversation buzzed, employees settled in to watch the game. The combination of good food, enjoyable company, and lively baseball energy created a fun atmosphere. Even though the Royals faced a strong opponent, the fellowship among our team was the day’s true highlight.

Game Time: Enjoying the Action

When we took our seats in the outfield patio, excitement filled the air. The game began, and while the Royals lost their last home game of the year 8-6, our focus shifted from the score to the collective experience.

The outfield patio offered us a unique view of the action, allowing us to appreciate the game while soaking in the lively atmosphere.

Special thanks go to Jessica Bell and Katie Reed for organizing this wonderful event. their outstanding efforts ensured that everyone had an incredible time, and we are truly grateful for their dedication in making this outing special.
