and Dani Heimsoth, Project Engineer with Nexus 5 Group

Project: Parris Communications, 4622 Pennsylvania Avenue, Kansas City, MO 64112- 9th Floor

Client: 46 PC Investors—Kenneth Block

Owner’s Rep & Parris Communications: – Ryan Holmes, Roshann Parris

Broker: Area Real Estate – Mike Levitan

Architect: KEM Studio – Brad Satterwhite, Lauren Brown, and Jesse Crupper

Project Size/Type: 5206 SF, Tenant Finish

Project Schedule: (4 - 5) months starting August 2021

Parris Communications is a tenant finish project on the Plaza. It is located in the new building called 46 Penn Center and located on the 9th floor. The view of the Plaza is definitely one to write home about (we're lucky to be able to see this view during the holidays!) The building has an upscale lounge/bar on top and a beautiful lobby with digital touchpad elevators.

The Parris Communications space is a high end office finish with custom cabinets, stone wall fireplace and decorative wall caps in the cubical area. The project started as a new floor with only the elevators and restrooms. KEM Studio did a great job designing and bringing that Plaza “Class” to this space.

In the end this project went very well. The relationship that we built with the Parris Communications team is what makes our job fun. Sure, there were challenges. Most projects these days have unique challenges that we are all having to overcome like manufacturing delays, deliveries, labor due to Covid, etc. However, we know more than ever, proactive communication is key during the material challenges, that everyone is dealing with. In the end, everyone involved in this project feels like we've accomplished something great despite those hurdles. And on top of all that, we were able to cut 2-3 weeks off the schedule. Way to #servewell!

About Parris Communications

Parris Communications is a strategic communications firm specializing in social and traditional media relations, public affairs/public issues management and crisis communications.

We could not be more proud of our new office, with endless appreciation for the incredible Nexus5 team. Nexus 5 Group was attentive to our every need throughout the journey, answering questions over nights and weekends without a moment of hesitation. They made us feel like true partners in the process of building our new space. All the steps of constructing a new office can be overwhelming, but the calm demeanor of the Nexus5 team kept us in focus. While we know Nexus 5 Group was simultaneously serving other clients, you’d never know it, as we were treated as though we were their only client all along. We are so thankful to Mike Levitan of LANE4 Property Group for introducing us to Nexus 5 Group. Mike also referred us to our wonderful architect, KEM Studios, who designed our dream office space. We are just hopeful that our current and future referrals to Nexus5 will be evidence of the incredible admiration we have for their work. - Ryan Holmes, Parris Communications

“Shout out to this team. Throughout the project we all handled the changes and challenges very well. When you deal with high end spaces like this, the details are more complex, and you must get them just right. Special thanks to Ryan Holmes. That relationship, for me, was fulfilling and I wish the best going forward. Ryan made communicating easy. Coupled with having a great understanding and being organized (owner supplied items) it went very smoothly. Also proud of my team, Emma Draper – Project Engineer, Josh Buller – Superintendent and our valued subcontractors for getting this done on time, on budget and with a happy client.” - Brent Hastings, Project Manager, Nexus 5 Group

“These are the projects you love being a part of. A clean slate, a great team and a wonderful result. Thank you for allowing us to be your partner in this!” - John Hinman, Managing Director, Nexus 5 Group
